Genovese associate caught on tape breaking rival caterer's windows

Be careful what you wish for!
Frank DiMattina, a reputed Genovese crime-family associate and reality-star wannabe, was caught on tape breaking a rival caterer’s windows, officials say.
Brooklyn federal prosecutors plan to use DiMattina’s star turn — shot by a security camera — as new evidence in their extortion case against the 43-year-old alleged mob associate.
But defense attorney John Meringolo is expected to argue before a Brooklyn federal judge today that the man in the grainy video, his face obscured by a baseball cap, is not DiMattina.
Prosecutors say the rival caterer will ID DiMattina as the culprit.
A friend of the reputed mob associate allegedly was arrested in the incident. Unbeknownst to both men, an unmarked NYPD car was across the street at the time of the incident.
DiMattina is already awaiting trial on charges that he brandished a pistol to shake down the rival caterer over a school lunch-contract bid.
