'Mob thug' in pizza man slice says he's the victim

The pizza twirler may have put a hole in the bagelmaker.
The owner of the famed Brooklyn pizza parlor Lucali, Mark Iacono, 43, who was brutally stabbed with a long kitchen knife in broad daylight yesterday afternoon, will likely also be charged with assault, law enforcement sources said today.
Iacono, who was stabbed in the throat, back and legs, also sliced his alleged attacker, ex-con Benny Geritano, who works at Bagels by the Park on Smith Street, law enforcement sources said.
Geritano, a mob associate who beat two attempted-murder charges in the 1990s, told The Post today he was innocent.

"I didn’t do anything, I’m the victim here," Geritano, 39, said of his alleged knife assault on Lucali owner Mark Iacono.
Geritano, who cops believe is a Genovese-connected thug that was looking to shake down the popular pizza joint, was marched into the 76th Precinct this morning wearing a gray sweatshirt and black sweatpants.
Geritano, who was arrested yesterday after the 3 p.m. knifing on a Carroll Gardens street, was picked up at Long Island College Hospital, where he was treated for cuts sustained during the assault.
"He attacked me," Geritano said of Iacono, 43, who he’s known since childhood. Pointing to his bandage-covered wounds, he said, "You see my hands, you see my neck, you see my back."
Geritano, who is currently on probation, told The Post that contrary to the testimony of witnesses, the pizza owner lunged at him with a long knife.
The popular pizza twirler, Iacono, was still at Lutheran Hospital yesterday after emergency surgery.
